Notes to Self 1

Back to Blogging. I have missed this space. If you are new here I want to welcome you. If you have been a friend, family member, or follower over the years I want to say welcome back. I used to blog years ago and really I have never stopped. I absolutely love writing. Writing has been an outlet for me since I was a little girl and it has served me in so many areas of my life. My blogging I guess you can say has turned into some really long post on social media. I am primarily on Instagram and Facebook as it allows me to write somewhat longer posts and/or share through video and photos. In between my break from blogging on a public platform, I have added to my expertise to further help people as they walk through grief and trauma. I have recently become a Grief and Trauma Life Coach. I received my training and education from the Arizona Trauma Institute as well as putting myself through years and still actively pursuing Trauma Therapy of my own. It means a great deal to me to not only continue with my education but to also be in the trenches with my clients doing my own work as I believe healing is an ongoing journey. I get it though, therapy is a huge investment. It costs money and takes a lot of time. Two things that aren’t easy to invest in. In the first few years, it required a huge sacrifice of time in my schedule and budget, but now it has become a part of my life. Knowing what I know now, I can’t imagine my life without that work. It has not only served me well it has saved my life and relationships that I care deeply about.

I became a Grief and Trauma Life Coach for a lot of different reasons and I will get into that in another blog.

Recently though I have been sharing directly in my stories on social media about a practice I really believe in called “Somatic Therapy.” Somatic Therapy is a practice my therapist offered to me and it served me on such a deep level to help repair and center me within my body.

I decided to share a little bit more about this type of Therapy as well as sharing a little bit more about a personal story of mine within a 12-minute video. With that being said I want to invite you to listen to this video.

If for some reason you find yourself relating to my story or are more curious about Somatic Therapy I want you to know I am here for you. My deepest desire is for people to know that they are not alone in their journey. I don’t have all the answers and I know I am one person. So if my resources aren’t what fit your situation I don’t want you to stop there. I may know someone that may know someone out there that is in line with what you are looking for. That is the main thing, find someone or something that speaks to you and allow yourself to take the step so you can keep moving through whatever your situation may be.

From your significant trauma, you deserve significant healing.
